Procurement Officer at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority

We are looking for a procurement officer who wants to work in an organization where ideas are welcomed and collaboration is key. You will work with procurements related to preparedness, radiation safety, IT systems, and services.

The Department of Agency Support is responsible for the agency's operational administrative functions such as record-keeping, IT, security issues, finance, and procurement matters.

The Finance and Procurement Unit is part of Agency Support and is responsible for procurement and financial issues, and now that the agency is growing, we need to complement the unit with a new procurement officer.

Your main tasks will involve providing qualified support to the agency's clients in matters related to purchasing and procurement. You will independently lead your own procurements and call-offs throughout the entire process. The procurements include goods and services in various categories and contract forms.

Your role includes staying updated on new legislation and actively monitoring the environment so that we can develop and learn together as a unit. You will be involved in the development of and work in accordance with implemented purchasing processes.

We offer you a job in close collaboration with the CFO, procurement officers, clients, and the agency's suppliers.

We are looking for someone who has

  • a relevant higher education degree in, for example, law, economics, purchasing, or equivalent post-secondary education focused on the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and/or the Defence and Security Procurement Act (LUFS), or equivalent acquired knowledge through several years of qualified work experience
  • at least two years of current work experience and knowledge of procurements according to LOU
  • excellent ability to understand, interpret, and draft procurement documents and contracts
  • very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have

  • conducted security-protected procurement with security protection agreements (SUA)
  • conducted procurements according to LUFS
  • experience in procurements within the EU and aid projects in other countries
  • experience in confidentiality assessments according to the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL)
  • experience in negotiated procedures or competitive dialogues.

Personal qualities

To function in this role, you need to take initiative, seek information, quickly familiarize yourself with procurement agreements, and take responsibility for your own learning in the work area. You are a person who develops, drives, plans, organizes, and prioritizes your work effectively. You need to be self-sufficient, structured, service-oriented, and work well both independently and with others in this role.

Employment conditions

The position is a permanent employment with a start date by agreement. The employment may begin with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Katrineholm. Travel in the service may occur.

Some of our tasks are placed in a security class, which means that a security check with a register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is also required.
